A 5-day intensive focused on bringing ideas to life through the medium of filmmaking. Students begin by developing a short script, then move into conceptualizing the set and production design. From there, we explore lighting, camera framing, and movement—culminating in the full production of a short film.

Perfect for gifted and creative students with a strong interest in storytelling through the camera lens, but also valuable for anyone interested in storytelling across any medium.

Students will use real equipment and work hands-on with lights and cameras. This is a technical, hands-on camp designed for students who are serious about growing as artists and creators.

Matthew and Jared Young have more than 20 years of filmmaking experience spanning children’s shows, documentaries, commercials, and short films. They are excited to share their creative insight with students eager to learn the art of bringing imagination to life through the moving image.
